Terms of use

This is a courtesy translation. In case of discrepancy, the Estonian version prevails.

In force from 09.09.2026

These terms apply to all orders accepted by HEXVORM OÜ (registry code 17583862, Narva mnt 101, Tartu) through its website, email or any other communication channel. By placing an order you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.

Quote and order

We usually answer an inquiry with a price quote within one working day. The quote includes the price, material, delivery time and, where needed, notes on the printability of the model.

A quote is valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise in the quote. An order is considered concluded from the moment you have confirmed the quote in writing and we have received the confirmation.

We reserve the right to refuse an order if the model cannot be printed on our equipment, if the chosen material does not suit the described use, or if we have reason to believe the order infringes third-party rights.

Prices and payment

Prices are in euros. HEXVORM OÜ is not a VAT-registered company, so no VAT is added to prices and none is shown on invoices. The price depends on the part’s volume, material, print time and amount of post-processing.

Invoices are payable within 7 days of issue. For new customers and larger orders we may ask for a prepayment or partial prepayment; we will state this in the quote. In case of late payment we are entitled to charge a late-payment penalty of 0.05% per day on the unpaid amount.

The parts remain the property of HEXVORM OÜ until the invoice is paid in full.

Delivery

The standard production time is 1–5 working days. The period starts from the moment the order is confirmed, the printable file is in our hands and the prepayment (if agreed) has been received, not from the moment the inquiry was sent.

We hand over parts in Tartu or ship them by parcel locker. Shipping costs are added to the order unless the quote states otherwise.

If delivery is delayed for reasons beyond our control (material supply difficulties, equipment failure, delays in information from the customer), we will tell you as soon as possible and agree on a new deadline. We are not liable for indirect damage caused by the delay.

Files and intellectual property

The 3D models, drawings and technical documentation you send remain your property. We use them only to fulfil your order, do not share them with third parties and do not use them to develop our own products. On request we sign a confidentiality agreement (NDA) before you send files.

By placing an order you confirm that you have the right to have the model printed: that you created it, it is licensed to you, or it is otherwise freely usable. If it turns out that the model infringes a third party’s copyright, patent or trademark, you are responsible for it.

If we create a model from your drawing, photo or sample, the finished CAD file belongs to you from the moment you pay for the order.

Technical limitations of 3D printing

3D printing is a layer-by-layer manufacturing method with characteristics worth knowing before you order:

  • Dimensional accuracy is typically ±0.2–0.3 mm. By agreement we post-process critical dimensions to exact size; mark them when requesting a quote.
  • Strength depends on direction. A printed part is weaker between layers than along them. We choose the print orientation to distribute the load as well as possible, but the part will not behave identically to a cast or milled one.
  • Surface quality depends on the material, layer height and the location of support structures. Marks from support removal are a normal part of the process.
  • Colour shade may differ slightly between batches. If an exact shade is important, agree on it before ordering.

These characteristics are not defects but the nature of the technology. If you doubt whether 3D printing suits your part, ask before ordering; consultation is free.

Customer responsibility for the model

If you send us a ready 3D model, you are responsible for its dimensions, tolerances and functionality. We check the file for printability (whether wall thicknesses are sufficient, the geometry is sound, the part fits in the printer), but we do not check whether the part serves its intended purpose or fits where it is meant to go.

If we print a part according to the file you sent and it later turns out to be wrong, this is not a defect on our part. For larger series we recommend ordering one sample part first.

Defects and complaints

Please inspect the parts immediately upon receipt. Report defects within 14 days of receipt, attaching a photo and a short description.

If the defect results from our work (wrong material, print error, agreed post-processing not done), we reprint the part free of charge or refund the amount paid for it. We make the choice in agreement with you.

A consumer customer additionally has the rights provided by law, which these terms do not restrict.

Cancelling an order

An order can be cancelled free of charge as long as production has not started. If printing has already begun, you cover the cost of the material and machine time used.

For private consumers. A consumer generally has the right to withdraw from a contract concluded at a distance within 14 days. This right does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly tailored to their personal needs (Law of Obligations Act § 53(4)). Because we make every part to a specific order, our orders are generally non-returnable. The exception is a material or production defect, which is covered by the previous section.

Limitation of liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the specific order. We are not liable for indirect damage: lost profit, production downtime, or damage arising from using a printed part for a purpose other than the one agreed.

3D-printed parts are not intended for use in load-bearing structures, medical devices, or anywhere else where failure could endanger people’s health, unless separately agreed in writing.

Use of the website

The website’s content (texts, design, logo and images) belongs to HEXVORM OÜ. Ask us for permission to copy it or use it commercially.

The material descriptions and technical figures on the website are informative and intended as guidance when choosing a material. We agree on the suitable material for a specific part when preparing the quote.

Personal data

The processing of personal data is described in our privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Estonia. We try to resolve disagreements through negotiation. If that fails, the dispute is settled in Tartu County Court. A consumer also has the right to turn to the Consumer Disputes Committee (tarbijakaitse.ee).

Changes to the terms

We may change these terms over time. An order is governed by the terms as they were when the order was confirmed.
